Apple Broadcasting Live Immersive MLB Games To Vision Pro On Four Fridays
On Friday nights from August 28 to September 18 Apple Vision Pro owners with Apple TV can watch a live 2026 Major League Baseball game in VR.
Major League Baseball fans in the United States with access to an Apple Vision Pro and an Apple TV subscription can watch live games on Friday nights in Apple Immersive format from August 28 to September 18.
Apple previously offered a schedule of live National Basketball Association games in Apple Immersive format. These early examples suggest that, ahead of more ambitious efforts in the years to come, Apple is stretching its muscles in next-generation live sports broadcasting by partnering with venues and leagues.
For those who aren’t following the overall trend here, Apple Immersive might be thought of as a format for video that dramatically moves past the limits of current 4K broadcasts with higher frame rates and, in VR headsets, the addition of transportive stereoscopy in wide field of view. Sports fans are unlikely to be won over by the prospect of buying a $3,500 headset just to watch a few games in VR right now, but these four Fridays offer a compelling reason for Vision Pro owners to schedule watch parties with friends who love baseball. You can essentially preview what attending live sports in VR will feel like when next-generation devices drop weight and cost while adding more robust streaming schedules with this display quality and overall immersion.

September 4 @ 6:30 p.m. ET (Los Angeles Angels at Pittsburgh Pirates)
September 11 @ 10 p.m. ET (San Diego Padres at San Francisco Giants)
September 18 @ 10 p.m. ET (San Francisco Giants at Los Angeles Dodgers)
Apple is promising as part of the live experience “commentary from Paul Severino (play-by-play), Xavier Scruggs (analyst), and Michelle Margaux (sideline reporter), dedicated replays, and an immersive graphics package that includes team lineups and stats floating in the viewer’s space.”
Full game replays will also be available to those with an Apple TV subscription in Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and the UK.
